CONTROL SWITCH SYSTEM
Background
Dates: February 2016
Platform: PC
Engine: Unity 5
Project Type: Systems Design
Intention: Create a system for a game that switches the controls on the player to keep them engaged with the game.
This game was made in my Junior year in my Game Systems and Experience Design class. This class focused on creating unique game systems to give the player an intended experience. For this project, we were tasked with creating a system that affected the physicality of the game. To accomplish this, I created a game system in an infinite runner that caused the players controls to be switched when they collect a certain item. This prototype was created in the Unity Engine.
Documentation
This is my visual design document for this project. It shows how the game looks, how the user interface displays information to the player, and how each of the items affects the player.
This is the game flow chart that I created to illustrate what a player's experience would look like while playing through the prototype.
